Dear Friends

As we begin the year 2012, let us dream together that the Lord will bless our multicultural church.

Consider inviting someone over to your home from a different culture and make the moment extra special, by incorporating some of their culture in your hosting. During 2012, take up the challenge to learn a few expressions such as "Have a good day" or "God bless you" in another language. Be sure to invite someone to Church from another culture too.

Let this month be a catalyst for the rest of the year in truly becoming multicultural.

Pastor David & Karen Drysdale
& the Pentab family

Feature Question Answered

What does it takes to build a multicultural Church?
The call deserves a response because of who is giving the call and the purpose behind the call?

A multicultural Church does not just happen because we live in a multicultural city. Words such as "accommodate" and "tolerate" should be replaced with stronger words such as "accept" and "embrace". The concept of a multicultural Church must go beyond a drive inspired by even morality. We should see the coming together of different cultures as being the preferred way of relating; and only hesitantly accommodate anything less in the short term when there are real communication barriers.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28
